Men's Tennis Falls To Ohio Wesleyan

ALBION, Mich. – Ross Kynast and Will Pearl won sets in their respective singles matches Saturday, but neither was able to produce a point for Albion College in a 9-0 loss to Ohio Wesleyan University in a non-league men's tennis match played inside the Ungrodt Tennis Center.

Kynast took the second set from Shouta Fukamachi, 6-4, at No. 1 singles. Fukamachi pulled out the third set, 6-3, to win the match.

Pearl and Alex Lutz split the first two sets of the No. 5 singles match. Lutz took the match by winning a 10-point tie-breaker.

Next up for Albion is the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association opener against Alma College. The match is set for 4 p.m. Thursday in Albion.
