Men's Tennis Storms Past Trine

ANGOLA, Ind. – Albion College reached the .500 mark overall and against its Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association rivals when it scored a 6-3 victory over Trine University.

Albion won all three doubles contests and it split the six singles flights.

Eric Guindi and Jonathan Gurnee won the No. 1 doubles flight, 8-5. Ross Kynast and Will Pearl achieved an 8-4 victory at No. 2. Steve Nawrocki and David Richter pulled out a tie-breaker to earn the No. 3 doubles point.

Gurnee and Richter achieved straight sets wins at No. 2 and No. 4 singles, respectively. Kynast rallied from a set down to win No. 3 singles.

Albion has two regular season dual matches remaining. The Britons' final regular season home match is Wednesday at 4 p.m. against Hope College.
