Albion Rallies In Singles

ALMA, Mich. – Albion College won five of the six singles matches to score a 6-3 victory over Alma College in a Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association men's tennis match.

Albion trailed 2-1 after doubles. The Britons' point came from the No. 2 team of Ross Kynast and Will Pearl.

Eric Guindi (No. 1), Jonathan Gurnee (No. 2), Kynast, David Richter (No. 4) and Zach McKenzie (No. 6) were singles winners for the Britons. Guindi, who improved to 12-1 in singles, won his match 6-2, 6-3. Gurnee also earned an impressive 6-3, 6-1 win. Kynast and McKenzie won their matches in straight sets, though both were pushed to tie breakers in one set.

Albion, 6-7 overall and 1-2 against MIAA rivals, continues league play Saturday when it visits Trine University.
