ALBION, Mich. - The No. 3 doublles team of Steve Nawrocki and David Richter produced the point in Albion's 8-1 loss to Kalamazoo in Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association men's tennis action.
The Britons won the No. 3 doubles match 8-5.
Albion's best chance for a singles win was at the top of the lineup. Eric Guindi extended Branden Metzler to three sets. Metzler won the first set in a tiebreaker and Guindi responded by takking the second set, 7-5. Metzler won the super breaker, 10-2, to decide the match.
Kalamazoo won the other five singles matches in straight sets, though Jonathan Gurnee pushed the second set of the No. 2 flight to a tiebreaker.
Albion will hit the road for its next two MIAA dates, starting with a Tuesday contest at Alma.
