Three swimmers gain Scholar All-America recognition

Three Albion College swimmers – Len Ciemniecki, Rileigh Eding and Tyler Kimbrell – have achieved Scholar All-America status from the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America.

The award recognizes student-athletes who achieved a 3.5 or higher grade point average and competed at their respective NCAA/NAIA/NJCAA championships, or in Eding's case as an honorable mention award winner, achieved a 'B'; qualifying standard.

Ciemniecki, a sophomore who prepped at Seaholm High School in Birmingham, achieved All-America status in the 400-yard medley relay at the NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championship in March. Kimbrell, a sophomore from Milan, Mich., who is a member of Albion's Carl A. Gerstacker Institute for Business and Management, achieved honorable mention All-America awards in the 200-yard breaststroke and with the 400 medley relay team.

Eding, a sophomore from Hamilton, Mich., was the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association runner up in the 100 freestyle and 100 backstroke.
