Swim/Dive completes successful run in NCAA meet

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Tyler Kimbrell completed his sophomore season at Albion College with honorable mention All-America status in an individual event.

The Milan, Mich., native finished 12th in the 200-yard breaststroke on the final day of the NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championship. He reached the consolation race with a preliminary time of 2:01.91. He lowered that to 2:01.82 in the evening.

The five points Kimbrell produced on Saturday lifts the Albion total for the meet to 43. Nate Kozycki was an All-American in the 100-yard butterfly, Jake Burris was an honorable mention All-American and 1- and 3-meter diving and Kimbrell, Kozycki, Len Ciemniecki and Alec Nyboer achieved honorable mention All-America status in the 400-yard medley relay.
