CHICAGO, Ill. – Divers Jake Burris and Jacob Maurer will represent Albion College in the NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championship.
The Britons finished second and third, respectively, in the 3-meter competition in the regional meet Saturday to punch their tickets to the national meet.
Burris finished with a 460.25 total. He gained scores of 7 and 7 ½ on a forward 3 ½ somersault with a 2.8 degree of difficulty and three judges awarded scores of 6 ½ on a forward 2 ½ somersault with a twist that came with a 3.0 degree of difficulty.
Maurer soared to a season best score of 457.00. He had four dives with awards of at least 47.60.
The NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championship is scheduled for March 21-24 in Indianapolis, Ind.
