FOND DU LAC, Wis. – It has been nearly six years since the Albion College men's soccer team scored as many goals as it did today in a 7-2 non-league victory over Marian University.

The last time Albion scored more than seven in a match was Oct. 1, 2013, when it claimed an 8-2 victory over Trine University in a Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association match.

Stefan Isaevski scored in the third minute and he assisted on three second half goals. Kyle Alsheskie was the last Briton to get credit for three assists in a match, accomplishing the feat against Trine in 2013.

Alex Sayeg scored Albion's other first half goal, striking in the 20th minute.

Davion Page, Joel Zaretti, Ian Sosenko, Carter Peek and Reese Stuart all scored goals for the Britons in the second half.

Albion finished the match with 29 shots, including 19 on goal. Sayeg placed two of his four shots on goal. Sosenko was credited with three shots on goal. Isaevski, Peek, Chase Foresman and Jason Warras all placed two shots on goal.

Albion, winners of two of its last three to move its record to 2-4-1, will play its next three non-league matches at home. The Britons are home Sept. 21 at 10 a.m. against Wittenberg University and Sept. 22 at 1 p.m. against the Milwaukee School of Engineering.

Joe and Julie Serra have given a $5 million leadership gift to launch a fundraising initiative to make two dreams a reality at Albion College. The first is a newly expanded fitness and student activity facility at the site of the current Dow Recreation and Wellness Center. The second is a new or renovated competition facility for the volleyball, men's basketball and women's basketball teams that currently call Kresge Gymnasium home.

The College is continuing to raise funds in support of both projects. To learn more, call 517/629-0446 or email advancement@albion.edu
