Kids get their kicks at soccer clinic sponsored by SAAC

The Albion College men's and women's soccer student-athletes had the opportunity to share one of their passions with local kids March 23, leading a free clinic sponsored by the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.

Men's soccer goalkeeper Chris Wallace said the clinic is among the highlights of his year.

"It allows me to share something I am passionate about with the kids," Wallace said. "Seeing the smiles on their faces when they score a goal or complete a pass is a priceless feeling and knowing that you could potentially be inspiring them to continue playing soccer for years to come is very rewarding."

Riley Burnette, the community outreach chair for SAAC and a women's soccer midfielder, added, "Participating in the SAAC clinic is important to me because these kids have an opportunity to learn and I get the opportunity to teach them and make an impact on them, even if it is small. It is another way for us Albion athletes to be involved with the community and appreciate playing a sport in college."
