Men's Soccer dominant in road win

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio – Albion College played all 24 men traveling this weekend as it scored a 4-1 victory over Wittenberg University in a non-league men's soccer match.

"Overall, it was a good performance with some great experience for all the young guys," Albion Head Coach Wytse Molenaar said after the Britons improved to 3-1-2 on the year.

While the box score reports Albion finished with a 10-8 edge in shots, Molenaar said the Britons probably dominated the shots by a much larger margin.

Albion was efficient, scoring on four of its five shots on goal according to the box score. Christian Hurtado opened the scoring in the 11th minute, and Jason Warras followed with his first collegiate goal by placing a header from 12 yards out into the upper portion of the goal.

Will Colborn, who assisted on Hurtado's goal, scored Albion's second half goals.

Goalkeeper Maximilian Loria needed to make one save in the match.

Albion will complete its weekend trip with a 5 p.m. Saturday match at Anderson (Ind.) University.
