ADRIAN, Mich. – Albion College owned a 17-10 edge in shots, including 8-5 in shots on goal, but it could not get anything past Adrian College goalkeeper Spencer Brown in a 1-0 loss Saturday night.
Brandon Katona scored the only goal of the contest with seven minutes left in the first half. He got his head on a long throw in from Jordan Miller.
Albion was especially active in the second half, generating 10 shots. Erik Vanfossen was credited with two of the shots on goal for the Britons.
Albion (4-3-1 overall and 1-3 against Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association rivals) plays a 4 o'clock Wednesday game at Olivet College.
