Shepard to finish career with DI Detroit Mercy

DETROIT, Mich. -- 2020 Albion men's lacrosse graduate, Scott Shepard, has signed with Division I Detroit Mercy to finish his final year of eligibility.

Shepard, a standout attacker for the Britons, graduated with 64 goals and 25 assists. In just six games in the shortened 2020 campaign, Shepard scored 17 goals and dished out three assists.

His 64 goals rank him tenth all-time in Albion history. Shepard was also part of the 2017 and 2018 teams that won the MIAA Tournament.

"I'm really glad that Shep is going to be able to finish what he started here over in Detroit," said Albion head coach, Jake DeCola. "He was having an unreal year and was on his way to becoming an unstoppable scorer. I am proud that all of his hard work has put him in a position to make a Division I roster. Now he has the challenge of making an impact at the next level, and with his work ethic, I think he can do that."

Shepard will work on his MBA while playing at Detroit Mercy.
