Men's Lacrosse turns in complete performance

ALBION, Mich. – Albion College turned in its most complete performance of the season as it pulled away for a 17-5 victory over Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association rival Trine University in Tuesday night men's lacrosse action at the Davis Athletic Complex.

Albion outscored Trine, 11-2, in the second half. Scott Shepard scored four times in the second half as he matched his career high.

Alec Palmer scored two times in the first quarter and he added two more in the fourth. He was also credited with three assists.

Brady Lawrence chipped in with three goals and Collin Bowers added two goals and an assist for Albion.

Albion maintained possession most of the night, with Gerald Haadsma winning 16 of 25 face-offs.

The Britons also gave Trine fits when it attempted to clear the ball out of its defensive end. Joey Tatar was credited with causing three turnovers.

Albion, 4-7 overall and 2-0 against MIAA rivals, has a 1 o'clock home game against Alma College on Saturday.

Joe and Julie Serra have given a $5 million leadership gift to launch a fundraising initiative to make two dreams a reality at Albion College.
