Men's Lacrosse pulls away from Wooster

WOOSTER, Ohio – Jace Conley, Scott Shepard and Alec Palmer scored in the second quarter as Albion College pulled away for a 6-3 halftime lead and the Britons went on to score a 13-9 victory over the College of Wooster in a non-league men's lacrosse contest.

Conley assisted on Shepard's goal 13 seconds into the game and Conley tacked on the next two Albion goals as the Britons lead 3-1 at the end of the first quarter.

Wooster scored a man advantage goal to cut the Albion lead to 3-2 before the Britons pulled away.

Wooster got as close as 7-5 midway through the third quarter, but Palmer, Gerald Haadsma and Conley scored to boost the Albion lead to 10-5 a minute into the fourth quarter.

Palmer finished with a career-high five goals and he stuffed the box score with six groundballs.

Conley chipped in with four goals and an assist. Collin Bowers finished with a goal, three assists and a pair of groundballs.

Goalkeeper Josh Luketic stopped 13 of the 22 shots he faced.

Albion, 1-3 on the year, travels to the Cleveland area on Wednesday for a non-league game against John Carroll University.
