Brown, Hubbell Secure All-Region Awards

Midfielder Zach Hubbell and defender Dave Brown represented Albion College on the all-West Region team as selected by the Intercollegiate Men's Lacrosse Coaches Association.

A senior who generated a team-high 50 points on 32 goals and 18 assists, Hubbell was a second team pick on the IMLCA all-region squad. He previously rewarded by being placed on the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association's list of honorable mention All-Americans and being selected as the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association's Offensive Most Valuable Player as well as the all-MIAA first team.

Brown, a junior who was an all-MIAA first team pick, was placed on the list of honorable mention players in the region for providing leadership for a defensive unit that allowed a shade more than nine goals per game. He was credited with collected 32 turnovers and scooping 35 ground balls.

Under the direction of eighth-year Head Coach Jake DeCola, Albion achieved a school-record 15 victories and ran the table against its MIAA rivals for its third straight conference championship in 2017.

"It is great to see these athletes honored on the IMLCA All-Region team, representing Albion College and the MIAA," DeCola said. "Both Zach and Dave are really hard working kids on the field, and they have done outstanding work in the classroom. These guys are achievers, and it is great to see them recognized for their work. I know that Dave and Zach are both very proud of their lacrosse program and we are proud of both of these young men."
