Three Britons score in the 70s

ALBION, Mich. – Soti Michalos, John Slivka and Justin Kapke all scored in the 70s at the Duke Lake Country Club on Tuesday as the Albion College men's golf team finished second out of three teams in an invitational.

Hope College turned in the low score of the day at 295, followed by the Britons (314) and Jackson College (341).

Michalos turned in his best score of the season with a round of 75. Slivka added a round of 78 and Kapke finished with a 79. Jack Welke contributed a round of 82.

Josh Ohneck (81) and Jack Hines (82) were playing as individuals.

Albion returns to Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association competition with a Saturday round at the Pine River Country Club in Alma, Mich.

Joe and Julie Serra have given a $5 million leadership gift to launch a fundraising initiative to make two dreams a reality. The first is a newly expanded fitness and student activity facility at the site of the current Dow Recreation and Wellness Center. The second is a new or renovated facility for the volleyball, men's basketball and women's basketball teams that currently call Kresge Gymnasium home.
