GAMBIER, Ohio – Albion College shot 36 percent from the field in a 98-60 loss to Ohio Wesleyan University Saturday afternoon.
The teams traded baskets for the first five minutes, but Seth Clark got Ohio Wesleyan rolling by scoring seven points as the Battling Bishops reeled off a 9-2 run to claim a 17-10 lead.
Grant Gossard dialed up from long distance and Will Orr hit a pair from 3-point range as the Ohio Wesleyan lead increased to 26-14 midway through the first half.
Quinton Armstrong scored seven of his 11 points in the second half, and he was the only Briton to score in double figures. Arshawn Parker and Corey Wheeler scored nine points apiece.
Four Ohio Wesleyan starters and one of the reserves scored in double figures, led by Gossard's 19.
Albion will drive to Tiffin, Ohio, for a Tuesday night game at Heidelberg University.
