Larr, Wheeler, Zahran Represent Albion On NABC Honors Court

Jared Larr and Jason Zahran, members of the graduating class of 2017, and rising senior Corey Wheeler represented the Albion College men's basketball program on the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Honors Court for the 2016-2017 academic year.

Juniors and seniors with a cumulative grade point average of 3.2 or higher are eligible for the Honors Court.

Larr, who prepped at McBain High School, and Zahran, from Trenton, were accounting majors. Zahran, who concentrated in Albion's Carl A. Gerstacker Institute for Business and Management, graduated magna cum laude.

Wheeler, who prepped at Renaissance High School in Detroit, is a history major. He was an all-Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association pick in 2017 after finishing as Albion's leading scorer and rebounder at 13 points and 6 rebounds per game.

"Academic success is a key element of the Albion men's basketball program," Head Coach Jody May said. "The Britons our proud of the standards of excellence we put into place and placing three of our student-athletes on the NABC's Honors Court is an example of that."
