Sienna Mendina and Sadie Wayman rode away with tickets to regionals in their divisions as Albion College was one of 10 hunt seat teams to gather at the final regular season show hosted by Grand Valley State University on Feb. 13.
The Britons dominated many of their over fences classes with wins by Mendina in open fences, Cayla Dupuis in intermediate fences, and third place finishes by Claire Tillman in open fences and Wayman in novice fences. Mendina also secured third place in her open flat class, and Felicia Soto picked up a second place in intermediate flat. At the end of the day, the Albion team finished in third place and concluded the regular season in fourth place overall in the region.
Joining Mendina and Wayman at regional championships will be Dupuis, Tillman, Megan Bertels, Emily Galka, Megan Reilly, and Megan Winkler. The competition will take place on March 19 at Willowbrooke Farm in Plymouth.
