Baseball wins getaway day game in Florida

AUBURNDALE, Fla. – Albion College pulled off a double steal – with Andrew Arszulowicz taking home – to perfection in the seventh inning to complete its spring break trip with a 4-3 victory over St. Vincent at Lake Myrtle Park Saturday morning.

The Britons were efficient with the four hits they had in the game. Riley Stesiak hit a 3-run shot to left after Edward Gietzen doubled and Joe Turnbull walked with two out in the third.

Arszulowicz singled to lead off the seventh. He advanced to second on a sacrifice bunt by Colton Rydlewski and to third on a single by Kellan Huang.

Scott Grant pitched the complete game for Albion. He was charged with an earned run on six hits. He struck out eight.

Albion's next scheduled competition is a non-league doubleheader at Defiance (Ohio) College next Saturday. The first pitch is scheduled for 1 p.m.
