AUBURNDALE, Fla. – Jordyn Finney delivered a two-run double in the seventh and reliever Patrick O'Brien retired the last six batters in order as Albion College gained a 4-3 victory over Wittenberg (Ohio) University.

Albion trailed 3-1 as it went to bat in the bottom of the seventh. James Spilko and Shane Lindemann drew walks to start the inning. Ronnie Williams reached on an error at third base with one out to load the bases. Spilko and Lindemann scored on Finney's hit. Williams came home with the winning run on Logan Priebe's sacrifice fly to center field.

O'Brien (1-0) surrendered a leadoff single to Brad Malott in the eighth before striking out the side. He retired the Tigers batters in order in the ninth.

Finney drove in three runs in the game. His sacrifice fly chased Lindemann home in the first inning.

Albion stranded four runners in scoring position before striking for the winning run in the seventh.

Steven Scott gave Albion a quality start on the mound, scattering two runs on six hits and a walk.

"We are playing great team baseball right now," Head Coach Scott Carden said. "Even when we make mistakes, the next guy is picking everyone up."

Albion's varsity squad has a day off Wednesday. The Britons next game is a 9 a.m. Thursday date with Penn State-Abington at Chain of Lakes Stadium in Winter Haven.
