Senior Send Off

ALBION, Mich. – Michael Fischbach went 5 for 7 with two runs batted in and pitchers Matt Temrowski and Gunnar Owens combined for the game two victory as the Albion College baseball team celebrated a successful senior day at Frank Joranko Field.

Fischbach likely finished the season with a single-season school-record 61 hits. He completed his collegiate career with 190 hits, including 72 for extra bases, and 121 RBI.

Game One: Trine 5, Albion 4

Jacob Heller laid down a sacrifice bunt in the sixth inning to drive in the tying run and Trine added two runs in the eighth to comeback for the victory.

Albion led 3-0. Fischbach scooted around the bases in the first, reaching on a two-out single, stealing second, advancing to third on a wild pitch and scoring on Steven Marowski's single. Fischbach added a two-run single in the third.

Craig Conway, a senior making his final start on the mound for Albion, worked five innings. His final line included two earned runs on four hits and seven walks with seven strikeouts.

Game Two: Albion 5, Trine 2

Justin Dennis collected two hits, including a double, and three RBI. Jack Wyman slugged a pair of doubles and Marowski and Fischbach added two hits apiece.

Temrowski was not charged with an earned run in 6.2 innings during the final start of his career. He scattered five hits and a walk.

The Four-Game Series

Fischbach and Marowski both went 11 for 15 in the four-game series against Trine. Marowski added two doubles and nine RBI.
