AUBURNDALE, Fla. – Michael Fischbach and Mitch Lasceski produced two hits apiece and each drove in a run and Andrew Fabry threw 4.2 innings of relief to lead Albion College to a 5-3 victory over Wittenberg (Ohio) University in spring break baseball action at Lake Myrtle Park Friday morning.

The victory, Albion's fifth in a row, pushes the Britons record to 5-2. It is Albion's longest winning streak since a six-game run in April of 2014.

Lasceski was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded in the first.

Albion added two more runs in the second as Luke Bottomley scored on a wild pitch and Joe Turnbull scored on Fischbach's groundout.

Albion loaded the bases in the fifth and scored twice. Fischbach came in to score when Ronnie Williams III reached on an error and Jack Wyman lifted a sacrifice fly to score Steven Marowski.

Fabry worked in relief of Craig Conway. The first-year student-athlete inherited runners on first and second with one out in the fifth, but got Timmy Bates to ground Turnbull at shortstop for a double play on the first pitch.

Wittenberg advanced runners to second and third with one out in the sixth, but the Tigers scored only one run. Fabry retired the final 11 batters in order to gain his first victory at the collegiate level.

Muskingum (Ohio) University will be the opponents as Albion completes its games in Florida tomorrow. The first pitch is set for 9 a.m.
