Joel Zaretti was named the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Defensive Player of the Week in men’s soccer Sept. 30 and he also basks in the glow of the Albion College Student-Athlete Spotlight.
A junior from Troy, Mich., Zaretti thwarted the Bluffton University attack as the Britons gained a 3-1 victory on Sept. 27.
Cross Country runner Kiehl Smith, also a MIAA Athlete of the Week award winner for his performance in the Loyola Lakefront Invitational, was also nominated.
