Trevor McManus was named the Male Athlete of the Week at the April 3 meeting of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
McManus, the sophomore men's lacrosse goalkeeper from Canton, Mich., was selected as the Defensive Player of the Week in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association after collecting 15 saves in the Britons 6-5 loss to Elmhurst (Ill.) College on March 31. Thanks to McManus' effort, the Britons held Elmhurst 10 goals under its season average.
Distance runner Andrew Wittland was also nominated after he established a personal record in the 10,000 meters.
