Evelyn Wischmeyer has been named Spotlight Student-Athlete after earning a spot on a short historic list.
Wischmeyer recently became the twelfth name added to the list of 1,000 career point scorers in Albion College women's basketball history. She has also just been awarded all-conference honors for the third year in a row. This season, Wischmeyer is averaging 10.6 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 3 assists.
The Albion women's basketball team finished the regular season with a 12-4 record. In the first round of the postseason tournament, the Brits beat St. Mary's 71-57 to advance to the semifinals.
A senior from Lake Orion, Mich., Wischmeyer has accepted a job with Emerge Consulting after graduation.
